Sing with Dunvant Male Choir
We are always pleased to welcome new choristers, whether experienced or complete beginners:
A common reaction we get when inviting men to join the choir is “I can't sing!” However, there's a big difference between having a trained voice and being able to sing with a group of friends and getting a lot of enjoyment out of doing so. How many times have we taken part in-and thoroughly enjoyed - a good old singsong before a match or on some other occasion? Why not come along on one of our rehearsal evenings. You can sit at the back and share the experience of being among a group of choristers in full voice. You will have a very warm welcome and the hand of friendship (in fact, many hands!) - friendships that will last for years.
DON'T DELAY! JOIN US TODAY
- You do not have to be a trained singer, all you need is to enjoy singing and be willing to learn
- You do not have to be able to read music
- Assistance is given in learning the Choir repertoire by the provision of CDs and help from a mentor (a member of the Choir).
What are the benefits to you:
- Singing is good for your health
You will experience:
- The Joy of singing
- The buzz from performing
- Good companionship
- Travel to new venues and places
The choir rehearses twice weekly, and ideally we’d like to see you at all rehearsals, but if you are unable to commit to this, by arrangement, an initial weekly attendance is acceptable.
For more information contact Alan Walters 401005, Stuart Jones 429516, any of the committee (See “Who is Who” page), or just turn up at one of our rehearsals usually at Olchfa School, Gower Road, Sketty (SA2 7AB) between 7.00 and 9.00 p.m. Mondays or Wednesdays. However, it is worthwhile checking with anybody in the choir, to confirm the venue on any particular evening. We can, if you prefer, arrange to meet you and bring you along.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at a rehearsal.
